Course Regulations:


Regulation on semester system under UG-CBCS (Choice Based Credit System)/FYUGP:
BA/B.Com Courses shall be of Six semesters covering three calendar years for CBCS Courses and of eight semesters spreading over four years for FYUGP Courses.
The General Schedule for semester system is given below:

a. 1st &, 3rd & 5th Semester (Including Examinations):September to January.
b. 2nd, 4th & 6th Semester (Including Examinations): February to August.

The Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) was introduced by the Gauhati University in the year 2019 for Undergraduate Courses. Details of the same can be found by visiting:

The Four Year Under Graduate Programme (FYUGP) under National Education Policy (2020) was adopted by the Gauhati University in the year 2023 with focus on Multiple Exit-Entry Policy and stress on Multidisciplinarity. Details of the Regulations for the same can be found in:
