The college offers BA/B.Com courses under Gauhati University and Higher Secondary courses in Arts and Commerce under the guidance of Assam Higher Secondary Council.

A. UG-CBCS/FYUGP Courses:
UG Courses have been in operation in the college in Semester mode as introduced by Gauhati University in 2011.TDC courses were completed with six semesters as per the regulation of Gauhati University. All new admissions to Three Year Degree Courses (Arts & Commerce) were guided by Semester regulations of the University. Gauhati University introduced CBCS (Choice Based Credit System) in 2018 with the existing semester system at UG (Under Graduate) level of courses.Withe introduction of NEP-2020, Gauhati University started to offer FYUGP Courses in its affiliated Colleges from the Academic Session 2023-2024 and P.B. College has been offering both B.A. & B.Com. courses since August 2023 under NEP module and Admission has been processed through SAMARTH Portal.

Intake Capacity in BA Course : 350 (Each Semester).
N.B: Morning Shift in BA First Semester Class was started in the academic session 2020-2021 due to unprecedented demand of the students. However, fresh admission in Morning Shift was discontinued from the subsequent academic session.

B. Higher Secondary Courses:
Higher secondary course consists of two parts: (a) H.S. 1st year and (b) H.S. 2nd year under the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council. A student who passes HSLC or equivalent Examination may apply for these courses, and admission is given on the basis of merit and the same is processed through the DARPAN Portal.

Students admitted to H.S.1st year shall have to opt four optional elective subjects out of which one automatically becomes the fourth subject (additional) in which he/she secures least marks.
