History
1979 was the base year on which the college had introduced Commercial Arithmetic in Higher Secondary Level in commerce department. In 1988, Business Mathematics had been introduced and the subject was taught by a single teacher till 2002. In 2007, the commerce department got split to different department headed by respective teacher of concerned subjects and thus the department of Mathematics came into exist as a parent department of Mathematics for both the streams- Arts and Commerce. At present only one faculty member of the department has been working in the substantive post and two teachers are working in non-sanctioned post. The motto of the department is to enrich the cognitive level of the students creating their zeal towards mathematics, so that they can do well in competitive examinations etc. with resilience. The department has longed to introduce Major Course for the students in near future. The faculties of the department have been committed to serve the students with best of their capacities.
